ABOUT ME

I am a fully accredited therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.  I have over 20 years of mental health experience, much of this gained working within the NHS.

I offer private face to face sessions in the daytime and evening in my home clinic.  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

On making contact with me I will arrange a free 20 minute telephone consultation with you to discuss your difficulties, answer any questions you have and to ensure that CBT or EMDR will be an appropriate way forward for you. In our initial face to face sessions together we will explore your difficulties in more detail and agree a treatment plan together. I tend to work in a time-limited way (from 5-20 sessions) as I believe in empowering my clients with the tools and techniques to manage their own difficulties when this is possible. However, some clients may wish to receive CBT for longer than this.

I have extensive experience working with the following problems: depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, health anxiety and social anxiety. I will work from adolescents to older age adults.
